Kinston Lady Bulldogs head coach Janie Wiggins said her team’s biggest problem this year is inconsistency. Kinston proved that in this week’s action as they went 2-2, making their record 11-6 overall.

Monday, the Enterprise Junior High Wildcats were supposed to play the Eufaula Tigers on the road, but weather intervened and the game was played in R.L. Bates Memorial Stadium Tuesday night.

Lady Rebels serving notice in undefeated streak
The Zion Chapel Lady Rebels’ volleyball team used a familair tool in beating the area rival Goshen Lady Eagles Tuesday: serving. The Lady Rebels scored several consecutive service points in each set of a 25-9, 25-8, 25-10 win. Zion Chapel improved to 8-0 overall in 2-0 in 2A, Area 5 play.
Turnovers dominate in Enterprise JV win
The annual greased pig contest did not wait for the National Peanut Festival in November. It happened in the first quarter of Monday’s junior varsity game between Enterprise High School and the visitors from Dothan.

Tierra McCain’s coaching debut has been solid at Enterprise Junior High School as her Lady Wildcats freshmen are 3-0. The latest victim was city rival Dauphin Junior Lady Dolphins, whom they beat 29-27, 13-25, 15-11 Thursday.

Panic, like that preceding a predicted drastic rise in gas prices overnight throughout Enterprise streets and service station parking lots, didn’t find its way onto the playing field when the Charles Henderson Middle School Trojans broke a 6-6 tie with the Enterprise Junior High Wildcat eighth-graders Thursday.

Plenty of blame to share for Alabama
TUSCALOOSA — Alabama went from 239 yards rushing against Clemson to 99 against Tulane. It went from not allowing a sack to giving up four. It went from being 11-for-17 on third down to 3-for-11. It went from having the ball for more than 41 minutes to having it for 23:25.

Enterprise volleyball riding winning streak
After splitting a tri-match on the opening day of the season, the Enterprise Lady Wildcats volleyball team has won four in a row, including two over Carroll. The last win came Tuesday as the Lady ‘Cats won in four sets over Carroll.

Enterprise native Brooks batters minor leagues
The numbers are outstanding. He has a .338 batting average through 46 games, good for second place in the Rookie-A Gulf Coast League. He has a .436 on-base percentage (OBP) and a .946 on-base-plus-slugging percentage, (OPS) both tops in the GCL.
