Enterprise moving on without ‘Big Three’
For three years, Enterprise volleyball’s “Big Three” - Kaitlyn Stephenson, Neysa Hernandez and Emily Galloway - controlled the courts. Now that they have graduated, the Lady Wildcats are trying to fill the voids left by their departure.
EHS football faces big day Thursday
Thursday is a big day for Alabama High School Athletic Association teams, but it’s even bigger for Enterprise High School. Not only will the Wildcats get to practice in pads for the first time in fall practice like everyone else, they will also return to a normal practice schedule.

Samson volleyball filling major vacancies
In volleyball, finding a replacement for one setter may be tough, but trying to find two in a two-setter offense is tougher. That is the challenge facing Suzanne Elmore and her Samson Lady Tigers volleyball squad.
Kinston volleyball gets whole new lineup
A volleyball team with a full roster carries 12 players. At 1A volleyball power Kinston, that was about as many seniors they had in a run to the semifinals.

Enterprise Prep Lady Patriots ‘Gunn’ for title
Last year’s Enterprise Preparatory Academy Lady Patriots volleyball squad fell one game short of the state tournament in their first year of Alabama Independent Schools Association play. Now the Lady Patriots have their eyes on the ultimate sports prize, and they have a few new Gunns to use.

Dauphin ninth-grade team gets new look for new season
In a normal year, it is likely more than half of the Dauphin Junior High School’s ninth grade volleyball players participated on the Lady Dolphins eighth grade squad. That is not the case this year as only five players are back from last year’s 3-15 squad.

Impending renovations force New Brockton volleyball to the road
The roof is leaking, the paint is peeling, the floor is darkened from years of use and the bleachers are old and in need of replacement. New Brockton High School’s gymnasium is a fixer-upper, and it will soon get that needed facelift.

Enterprise White finishes runner-up in tournament
The Enterprise Lady Wildcats White squad lost to area nemesis Dothan 8-5 in the championship game of a summer tournament Saturday. The tournament took advantage of the seven days the Alabama High School Athletic Association allows teams to play together in the summer.

Wildcats to host passing drills
Blocking and tackling may be the fundamentals of football, but coming Tuesday, they will not be in play as the Enterprise Wildcats host a 7-on-7 competition.
‘Hey Ricky, whatever happened to Mark Hersant?’
Mark Hersant wore No. 89 and played tight end two of his three years as an Enterprise High School Wildcat. He graduated from EHS in 1988 and attended the Air Force Academy and now in only four years, he could retire.

Area softball coaches react to change in playoff format
In years past, a team that won a softball area tournament got to host the first round of the sub-state playoffs. Starting next year, sub-state rounds will be gone as the Alabama High School Athletic Association changed the playoff format recently.
