It turned out to be a beautiful day near the Goodman community both Friday and Sunday nights for law enforcement officers in Operation Pseudo as two sets of neighbors were arrested and charged with manufacturing and trafficking in methamphetamine.
According to Coffee County Sheriff Dave Sutton, “the oldest alleged meth cooker was bought in Friday night, along with four more arrests at the residence.”
Deputies and investigators with the sheriff’s department arrested Betty Jo Thompson, 61, at her residence near the Goodman community Friday night at 16028 Highway 134. Thompson was charged with first degree manufacturing, trafficking in meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Also, at the residence, Kenneth Wayne Harrison, 46, of Smith Avenue, Elba, was arrested and charged with first degree manufacturing,
trafficking, first degree possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
Reports stated that a meth lab was found at this residence and seized.
Others arrested at the residence were Candy Aliwish Goodwin, 44, of Panama City Beach, Fla. and Marsha Lynn Martin, 53, of Highway 87, Elba, who were both charged with second degree possession of marijuana.
Another person of the Goodman residence, Aaron Ladon Goodwin, 23, was charged with possession of marijuana, second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Near the Thompson residence, officers obtained a consent to search another residence Sunday night. Investigators found an operational meth lab, marijuana and evidence of the use of meth during the search. A 4-year-old was also found inside the house at the time of the search and removed by a representative from the Coffee County Department of Human Resources.
David Adam Lamb, 22, of 15261 Highway 134, Mickey Joe Lamb, 46, of the same address, and Daphne Strickland Adkinson, 41, of the same residence, were arrested and charged with first degree manufacturing, trafficking in methamphetamine, chemical endangerment of a child, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, second degree.
According to Sutton, Operation Pseudo is a joint effort with sheriff department investigators, Alabama Beverage Control agents, the Enterprise Police Department and the 12th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force.
