Kinston juvenile charged with firearm on school grounds

Deputies and investigators with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department and Enterprise Police Department made several drug arrests Thursday during the afternoon and early morning hours.
Beau Yancey Nobles, 28, of E. Hickman Ave. in Kinston, was arrested around 3:15 p.m. by Coffee County authorities on County Road 525.
Nobles was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. As of press time Friday afternoon, Nobles had not bonded out of the Coffee County Jail.
Rocky Jones, 46, of Bell Street, Enterprise, was arrested and charged by Enterprise police for distribution of cocaine, a felony. Jones was released from the Coffee County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
Jessie Thigpen, 22, of Roosevelt Dr., Elba, was arrested and charged Thursday for felony possession of a controlled substance with a $10,000 bond and possession of marijuana, second degree, with a $3,000 bond set. Thigpen bonded out of the Coffee County Jail.
Christopher Randolph, 18, of Sconiers St., Enterprise, was re-arrested on a bond revocation. Randolph was originally charged with possession of a controlled substance March 22. He was arrested by Enterprise police at Nell Court on Thursday. Randolph bonded out on $3,000 for the felony.
Juvenile found with pistol on school grounds
Two Kinston juveniles were investigated by Coffee County Sheriff’s Department officers after deputies found a pistol in a vehicle parked on Kinston High School grounds.
Chief Deputy Ronnie Whitworth stated a resident on County Road 452 reported a mailbox was taken from the property. A stop sign had also been damaged in the immediate area.
After a further investigation by officers, one juvenile was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and possession of a firearm on school grounds.
The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Diversion Center in Dothan and later released. The other juvenile was released in the custody of parents.
