Kinston High School renovations mix past and present

Kinston School as been the cornerstone of the community since 1927. Mixing the past and the present, a ribbon cutting was held Monday evening for students, parents, faculty and former graduates.

More than $1.9 million has been spent at Kinston for capital projects in the last year, said Coffee County Schools Superintendent Linda Ingram.

The projects include the renovation of the two original school buildings, new carpet for the elementary building, a new roof and air conditioning for the gym and lunchroom, a storage and weight room, a new press box, refinishing the hardwood floors, landscaping and new classroom and library furniture.
