Interim president named for Enterprise-Ozark Community College

Bradley Byrne, chancellor of the Alabama Community College System, announced Tuesday that Dr. Nancy Chandler has been appointed interim president of Enterprise-Ozark Community College. Her appointment is effective July 1, 2008.
Enterprise-Ozark President Stafford Thompson stated his intent to retire from his position, effective July 1, 2008, to Chancellor Byrne in a January 2 letter.
Thompson has served as president of Enterprise-Ozark Community since April 1, 1996.
“Dr. Chandler has been a leader in our system for a number of years and as the second-in-command at one of our most dynamic institutions, has shown time and time again her strong work ethic and commitment,” Byrne said.
System officials are currently working to separate the Aviation Program from Enterprise-Ozark Community College, creating a new institution with the singular focus of providing training for employment in the aviation industry.
