A former Kinston police chief plead guilty to sexual abuse and sodomy charges in court Monday.
Harold Frost entered pleas of guilty to sodomy, first degree, and two counts of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old.
Frost was first arrested on both charges and on rape, first degree, on July 27, 2007. The rape charge was dismissed Monday by Circuit Judge Jeff Kelley after lawyer and district attorney consultations with family members.
Frost remains in the custody of the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department with no bond. Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, at 9 a.m. at the Coffee County Courthouse in Elba.
