Kelly Tindol of Creekside Grill beat out Mitch Gilley of Unicel as winner of a “Grill Off” benefitting Enterprise City Schools.
Jill Riley, Unicel’s southeast sales director, said 126 people came out to Westgate Shopping Center to sample the free ribs and barbeque sandwiches. For each person who voted for their favorite, $2 was donated by Unicel, and volunteers also set out a donation box . Mayor Kenneth Boswell presented Tindol with a check for $500 for the Enterprise City School Tornado Relief fund.
“My secret is I’ve got about 30 years grilling experience,” said Tindol. “And it’s a family effort. I use the ‘Gilley Rock Rub’, which is my rub, my dad’s baste, and my mom’s homemade sauce.”
